In perhaps one of the strangest style snaps of the year, Cheryl Cole goes head-to-head with Cher in today's fashion face-off
Ok, fashion fans, now we admit this may not be one of our more conventional 'who wore it best' moments, but who could resist pitching Ms Cheryl Cole against the legend that is Cher?
Despite seemingly having little in common - one's a 27-year-old girl band alumni, the other a 64-year-old music icon - today's subjects clearly share a taste in fashion, plucking the same Julien Macdonald dress for respective glittering events.
Getting in on the act first, Cheryl rocked the frock back in June to a fashion bash in London. Wearing a blush pink and silver version of the design, she accessorised with a metallic clutch and bejewelled sandals.
Fast forward six months, Cher went gothic in a black lace take on the autumn/winter 2010 dress for the London Burlesque premiere. Ensuring she stood out from the crowd, a fiery orange wig completed her look.

Both starlets opted for slight modifications on the original cap sleeves, with Cheryl choosing spaghetti straps and Cher a more demure lace full-length addition.
