This summer's must-watch TV

Fashion's hottest new TV show - Britain's Missing Top Model - starts tonight

Grab some popcorn and find an excuse to stay in, because tonight sees the start of fashion's hottest new TV show, Britain's Missing Top Model.

Taking reality TV to a whole new level, the show is set to be must-see summer viewing, and features marie claire's very own editor, Marie O'Riordan on the judging panel.

Eight gorgeous girls will battle it out for the title, the only difference is, look closer and these are not simply beautiful girls. Each one has a disability, whether it be visible, such as a leg amputation, or invisible but just as challenging, such as deafness, or partial blindness.

Marie explains, 'This is a TV show that attempts to challenge society's perceptions of beauty. By cleverly employing the familiar format of a reality show, it invites the viewer to take a journey into the heart of prejudice around disability. Just like marie claire, this programme features the glamour of the fashion industry while courting provocative discussion.'

On the prize Marie adds, 'The winner will model in a fashion shoot photographed by award-winning photographer Rankin, to be published in the September issue of marie claire. This will guarantee the winner a great start in launching a successful career as a model. I was proud to partake in a show that will change one girl's life forever and hopefully touch the hearts of millions of viewers.'
