Benetton has launched a facebook charity initiative - simply 'check in' with them on the social networking site and a £2 donation will be made to Architecture for Humanity and the Kenyan non-profit organisation, Slums Information Development and Resource Centres.
Benetton is the latest in a string of companies, including Starbucks and O2, to launch charity initiatives on the social network. Via the facebook app, 'checking in' allows you to access info on nearest stores, the latest news and special promos.
Having used social networking sites and Twitter to find the 'faces' of their Autumn/Winter 2010 campaign, Benetton are continuing their love for all things technological, giving customers the opportunity to be directly involved in Benetton's charity work.
All you need to do is to check in and Benetton will make a charity donation to Architecture for Humanity, the charity that applies design and architecture to social projects and SIDAREC, a project to help the construction of a technology and a media lab for young people in Mukuru,Nairobi.
Now you can shop and do your bit for a charitable cause at www.facebook.com/benetton
