We love it when our favourite stars choose to go off-piste with their red carpet style.

Amber Heard

Amber Heard was the epitome of cool at the Mortdecai premiere in London. Joining her main man, Johnny Depp, who was wearing Ralph Lauren Purple Label, the actress completely owned her wide-legged suit. The cropped jacket, complete with satin lapels, added just the right amount of red carpet impact, while her loose tresses and baggy pants gave her a totally easy-breezy vibe.

Jennifer Aniston in Gucci We are still recovering from Jen's plunging rouge Gucci tux at the 2015 Critics' Choice Awards. We love that she opted to go sans blouse, decorating her décolletage with nothing but delicate body chains. Mind blown.

Andrea Riseborough in Escada A bold choice for a major red carpet appearance, we love that the Birdman actress shunned a predictable floor-sweeping gown for this jade-green Escada trouser suit. Some might say it could have done with a wee bit more tailoring but we love the refeshingly laidback baggy fit.

Lorde in Narcisco Rodriguez For one of her first major Hollywood red carpet appearances, Lorde, the 18-year-old singer in charge of the latest Hunger Games soundtrack, decided against pretty and went for a gothic trousersuit and sheer crop top combo. The dazzling Neil Lane choker added just the right amount of old-school glam.
