As if we needed another reason to worship at the alter of Absolutely Fabulous, Joanna Lumley has come out with a line that makes Patsy an even more amazing character.

In an interview with V Magazine to promote the new Ab Fab film, Lumley praised the show's casual attitude to the spectrum of sexuality, saying 'it’s really normal that one of [Edina’s] ex-husbands now lives with his young boyfriend. It’s completely normal that [Edina] wants Saffy [Edina’s long-suffering daughter] to be a lesbian or that Serge [Edina’s long lost son] is gay and living in New York.'
