Demi Moore is demanding a whopping £18million in compensation as part of her divorce settlement from Ashton Kutcher, it's been reported today. It's understood that the Hollywood actress' legal team has filed papers at the Superior Court of California, claiming that the actor has amassed a fortune through canny investment deals since they married in 2005.

Demi and her lawyers reportedly believe that Ashton was only able to earn such a huge sum after she introduced him to Madonna's billionaire manager, businessman Guy Oseary, and oil and foods magnate, Ron Burkle. It's believed that with the help of Oseary, the actor has garnered millions by investing in technology companies, such as Skype, and Demi's legal team now argue that she is entitled to a slice of the profits.

However, a settlement is unlikely to be reached this summer because of the fierce financial wrangling between the pair. Oh dear. Representatives for both stars have yet to comment on the issue.

Demi, who is worth in the region of £100million, split from the Two And A Half Men star in 2011 after allegations that he cheated on her with a woman called Sara Leal on their wedding anniversary. He is now enjoying a romance with actress Mila Kunis.

Despite separating two years ago, Demi only formally filed for divorce from Ashton in March. She lodged legal papers in court citing 'irreconcilable differences' as the cause of the breakdown of the relationship.
