Charlotte Tilbury is the epitome of cool. Not only has she become a huge success in the beauty industry, and just launched her debut range on the high street – but she also counts Victoria Beckham as a client and Kate Moss as a best friend.

To celebrate 25 years of Marie Claire being published in the UK we teamed up with The Outnet and legendary photographer Rankin to shoot the most iconic women in TV, music, politics, fashion and beauty – and the rising stars who are following in their footsteps. And no beauty guru is quite so iconic as Charlotte Tilbury.

Lotten Holmqvist has been working with the famous make-up artist for three years and has worked with VB and Suki Waterhouse. And it's no surprise she's on her own road to success after listening to Charlotte's words of advice.

Charlotte tells us: 'It's no surprise I am where I am. I've worked bloody hard. If you put the work in and have a vision, you can achieve whatever you want.'

She adds: 'I've been lucky enough to have worked with people like Kate Moss and Katie Grand from the beginning. There have been moments when my career's been tough, but self-belief will always get you through.'

Wise words indeed.
