The L'équipée girls - a seriously fun and stylish group of women from Paris with a love of vintage motorbikes - recently travelled through Brazil's stunning landscape for three weeks in the pursuit of real beauty. They ended up meeting some pretty amazing people - and, it has to be said, animals - along the way. From making long-term pals in Rio de Janeiro while playing volleyball on Copacabana beach (where else?), to herding cattle on horseback while working on a ranch in the wilderness, these adventurous bikers certainly experienced more than they bargained for during the trip. Cue super-early starts, fishing for their supper (quite literally), some pretty unusual treatments (baru flour facial, anyone?), and a lot of dancing! No matter what the weather - and they definitely had their fair share of rain whilst riding through the country's lush, green regions - the group took everything they faced in their stride: totally lost in the middle of nowhere? No problem. Crumbling dirt tracks that seem completely insurmountable? Bring it on. A sudden flash flood? Pass me the umbrella. Oh, yes, these women can actually ride with an umbrella! In fact, as well as meeting new people and cultures; discovering what beauty really means to Brazilian women; and getting to grips with each community's unique way of life, one of the girls' biggest accomplishments during this epic voyage was keeping a smile on their face and a sense of humour throughout - whatever the journey threw at them. While taking in the vistas, there was plenty of laughter, petrol-station hysteria and water fights along the way to keep them - and us - entertained.
