The Born This Way singer has confessed she is starting to lose her hair, as she dyes it blonde too often

Style icon and pop star Lady Gaga has revealed that she is prematurely losing her hair – because she dyes it blonde too often.

Known for her trademark peroxide blonde hair and her adventurous style, perhaps soon the Born This Way singer will be forced to revert back to her natural brunette locks.

The starlet told told American magazine People that she's planning to 'get a chemical haircut because my blonde hair is falling out'.

But the 24-year-old doesn’t seem overly concerned about her beauty regime - or lack of one.

She also revealed in the interview she sleeps 7 days a week in her make-up, but believes she is 'blessed with good genes.'

'I don't like to tan my face because it's bad for wrinkles,' she added.

Equally as controversially, she follows a ‘drunk diet’ of whiskey and hung over gym sessions.

Outlandish admissions aside, she also had some words of wisdom for readers.

She named Princess Diana and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, as her beauty influences, but advised her fans: 'Just go with your gut. Whenever you try to be someone else, it’s boring.'
