Massive NYE Party The Gable, 7pm If you’re in the mood for a flirty New Year's Eve, head to The Gable to meet other singles and dance into 2017 to sets from the resident DJ. There is also optional speed dating at the event in case you want to find that midnight kiss – just FYI. Ticket: £20

The Covent Garden Comedy Club NYE Covent Garden, 7pm After the year we’ve had, we could do with some cheering up. Rock up to this comedy event solo or with a friend and enjoy a brilliant line-up of comedians, DJ sets and a lot of freebies. A package ticket will grant you entry to Opal Nightclub’s ‘Hollywood Glamour’ NYE bash if you need an after-party. Ticket: £30

Skating at Somerset House Somerset House, 8pm For a more relaxed end to 2016, skate into the New Year with your friends and family at the beautiful Somerset House. Enjoy a live DJ set and browse the Fortnum and Mason arcade - whilst sipping on Fortnum’s Rosé Champagne of course. Ticket: £62

Red Carpet NYE 2017 Leicester Square, 8pm If you want to head out for a night of glitz and glamour but can’t find the right people to go with, don a gorgeous dress and head out to this New Year's Eve gala tailored especially for singletons. Ticket: £40

Lights Display at Kew Gardens Kew Gardens, 10am to 4.15pm If you haven’t already then pop down to see the beautiful lights display at Kew Gardens. For a more laid-back way to end the year invite your friends to wander the grounds and use the scenery to snap some final insta-worthy pictures of 2016. Ticket: £16

When Harry Met Sally Screening Leicester Square, 6.30pm Wanting to celebrate New Year’s without going all out? Avoid the rowdy mobs and head to the Prince Charles Cinema for a screening of When Harry Met Sally. Did we mention there’s an open bar? And you get a party popper. Win. Ticket: £35

Twilight Climb up the O2 The O2, 4pm-6.30pm Watch the sun set on the London skyline from the top of the O2 dome. Seeing the views of the city from a prime location is a special way to see the old year out with friends or by yourself. There’s even time afterwards to head on to a NYE party if you fancy. Ticket: £35

Karaoke NYE Bethnal Green, 9pm For a hilarious end to the year head down to The Star in Bethnal Green for their New Year’s Eve karaoke party. Enjoy two fun filled hours of sing–along antics and then dance the night away with your friends to House, Disco and Funk party classics. Ticket: £10

London New Year’s Eve Fireworks London, 7.30pm You don’t have to spend all your money to enjoy the celebrations. Take a walk around central London to see the best firework displays – or alternatively just watch them from the comfort of your sofa live on BBC One. FREE
