Having sex with someone new can be daunting, and it probably comes as no surprise that this is what scares people the most about getting between the sheets with a new partner.
But of all the things that were thrown up in a recent Reddit thread about our biggest fears, very few people mentioned a concern over their partner's sexual health.
With terrible-sounding STIs like 'super gonorrhoea' flying around, it should be something that we're all considering before we hop into bed with someone new.
Enter the 'smart condom'.
In a world first, a company has developed a condom ring that can detect if the wearer already has something you'd rather not catch. Yes, really.

Known as a condom ring, it sits atop a regular condom and rings if your bed partner has an STI.
However, if the person you're having sex with is deemed clean, he can proceed to wear the ring in order to capture some really necessary sex information - such as how many thrusts he's done, the speed of said thrusts, his girth, how many calories have been burned, and - the one thing you really want to know - how your sex compares to others around the world. Of course, all of your sex data is then transferred to your smart phone where you can analyse your performance.
If you're keen to get your hands on one, the iCon will set you back £59.99 and should be available later this year
Lead engineer, Adam Leverson said: 'Not only have we innovated the world’s first Smart Condom Ring that’ll measure pretty much every aspect of performance in the bedroom, but now I’m pleased to confirm that it will also have built-in indicators to alert the users to any potential STIs present.'
