  • These 36 names haven't been registered in the UK so far this year

Whether or not you’re expecting, having an idea of what you might call your maybe baby is always fun. In fact, some of us even have a Google doc full of them.

And, we already know what the poshest baby names of this year are, as well as the trendiest baby names to come into fashion in 2017.

But, did you know that some names are actually at risk of extinction because not one baby has been registered under them this year so far?

BabyCentre have put together a list of 36 names, which were once popular baby monikers that have yet to be put on the registry.

You might be surprised by some, like Duncan and Sally, which have failed to take a spot on the database yet.

So, what do you think? Would you choose one of these names to stop it becoming extinct? Take a look and you might just get some ideas for that doc, after all…
