A Harry Potter Hogwarts train advent calendar is here and it looks magical

Christmas is just around the corner (sort of) and with it comes a huge selection of brilliant advent calendars. Whether you're into makeup and skincare and looking for a beauty advent calendar, or you're more inclined to pick up something full of sweet treats like the Percy Pig advent calendar, there's something for everyone.

There's even a cheese advent calendar for anyone who likes a brie-lly fun countdown to Christmas.

But if you're not sure what to fill your calendar with, or you have a friend/other half/work wife who wants to fill one up with their own choice of fillings, there's a Harry Potter advent calendar like no other coming your way this year.

Primark is releasing a Hogwarts Express train that has 24 labelled wooden boxes (12 on each side) which can be filled with whatever you like - cute jewellery, chocolates, the tiniest bottles of gin that you can find - either for yourself or for someone special.

This black and burgundy gem is the perfect gift for any Harry Potter fan, and Primark wrote on Instagram: 'Fresh from Platform 9¾, our Harry Potter Hogwarts Express advent calendar has arrived into selected stores.

'Fill the drawers with whatever magical treats you like and wait patiently for the start of December… Anyone else now ridiculously excited to start the Christmas countdown already?!'

It'll set you back just £15 (a bargain compared to the £104k Tiffany advent calendar), and while there are no details about when it will be available in stores we can guarantee it'll be like the Primark Chip cup gate all over again.

It's fair to say that advent calendars have come a long way since our childhood. The flat cardboard boxes with unusual tasting chocolate behind each door are a thing of the past.

However, if you want something cute and thoughtful this year without splashing the cash (and are keen to fill it with whatever makes you happy) then this one's for you.

There's no doubt that they'll be choo-chooing off shelves as soon as they land, so keep an eye out if you want to get your hands on one.
