Our edit of what to buy now from the new Karen Millen AW15 collection...
Karen Millen has a new collection, and it’s looking better than ever. The much loved British brand has taken a new direction this season, creating a cool new aesthetic we all want to wear.
Look out for their new campaign for Autumn Winter starring Jamie Bochert, Rosie Lowe and Quentin Jones. Look through the 12 portraits and try and choose which girl you want to be. Maybe its the super-cool styling or the unbelievably chic house location, but we are totally feeling the new vibe from Karen Millen.
Being in the gang of only a handful of stores on the high street who have their own in-house design atelier, Karen Millen should be on your radar for many reasons.
Unlike most high street stores, Karen Millen’s atelier is based in their London head office, and all pieces are designed and hand crafted to create ultra-luxe pieces, that feel far more expensive than their affordable price tag.
This season look out for stylish seperates that you need in your wardrobe, from satin trench coats to dark denim flares, and the ultimate day-to-night dress that will take you easily from boardroom to bar.
The whole collection has a sutble 70s vibe, that should you not have taken on the trend yet, you might be tempted by this lot.
Look out for suede, fringing, mid-length dresses and pussy bow details. And if wearing the trend top-to-toe is a step too far, these are all details that will give a update to your look without looking like a 70s throwback. Colours to consider from the new collection are chocolate, tomato red and black, tapping into the modern gothic trend and getting your wardrobe ready for the impending chilly weather.
Our favourite pieces include the 70’s-style skinny zip-up polo neck, the pretty white lace Victoriana-inspired blouse and the blanket cape.
But its not just coats and tailoring at Karen Millen, the accessories are always on our must have list too. This season, it’s all about a chunky biker boot, a classic style thats harder than you think to find on the high street. Peep toe high heel shoe boots, perfect to edge up your office look, and fringed bags a plenty.

Denim Flares, £99
A easy way to try out the 70's trend that is everywhere this summer, wear with a high chunky heel for the most flattering effect.

Tweed Dress, £190
Perfet day-to-night dress, just add a pair of statement earrings and a high patent court.

Biker Boots, £199
A wardrobe calssic, we can't wait to snap these up. In super soft leather that will just get better with age, wear now with bare legs and flippy skirts, then later, when the temperature drops, wear with leather leggings and a oversized knit.

T-Shirt, £50
You can't go wrong with stripes, the colour blocking on this tee brings your collection bang up-to-date.

Pouch, £65
Camo is the new florals for Winter, so buy now and stay on top of the trend. We'll be mixing up our prints and teaming with something striped.

Suede Biker, £499
Swap your leather biker for suede and get into the 70's mood.

Bracelet, £45
Mix your metals with this bangle, we say wear with a chunky watch and gold bangles to edge up your look.

Satin Trench £299
Give your classic trench a update in a fabric more suited to eveningwear. We love the bold colour too. If you're feeling brave you could wear it as a dress tightly belted with super high sandals.

Maxi Skirt, £130
Go for a lace style maxi for a 2015 spin on a classic skirt shape.

Blanket Cape, £235
A great layering piece that we have seen come through on the catwalks for Winter.

Leather Legging, £115
Wear with an oversized white shirt and rip off the Fashion Editor go-to look. Add Adidas Stan Smiths and you might find yourself street styled. Winning.

Dress, £250
LFD, our new obsession. The floral dress, upgraded in a embroidered finish. The jewel colours lend itself to looking more expensive than it is.

Sleeveless Jacket, £250
A smart but masculine option for those of you who don't like dresses. Wear with something layered underneath that is skinny in shape like a roll neck rather than a oversized knit for the most flattering finish.

Cullotte, £90
Our new favourite piece, a great alternative to the skirt. Go for a pair that is close fitting on the hips and keep your top tucked in for the most curve friendly look. Wear now with heels and then in the Winter with knee high boots peeping out the bottom.

Suede Clutch, £135
Bring a otherwise boring outfit to life with this playful clutch.

Shirt Dress, £170
Shirt dresses, no longer the style of dress just for your mum. We wear ours at the weekend belted and with a high chunky wedge. Keeo it undone for a more relaxed feel. Then style it for the boardroom buttoned up with a mannish brogue.

Jumpsuit, £235
Who says you can't wear this to the office? Style it with a skinny polo neck or a white shirt underneath then when you hit the bar replace with lashings of gold jewels and killer heels in a pop of colour.

Lace Blouse, £125
Pretty up your boyfriend denim with this lace blouse. We say it screams designer but at a friendly price.

Tote Bag, £399
Say hello to your new work bag, step away from black, Tan is our new best friend.
