People's Choice Awards: See who won what, who wore what and the celebrity attendees on the red carpet at the 42nd annual ceremony in Los Angeles

People's Choice Awards 2016: And awards season is officially GO! As one of the first ceremonies to get underway before the Golden Globes this weekend, the People's Choice Awards saw the great and the good of Hollywood descend on the Microsoft Center in Los Angeles last night at the 42nd annual ceremony.

Kate Hudson positively floored us when she arrived on the red carpet in a gorgeous strapless white jumpsuit. Flanked by the inimitable Jack Black, who put paid to any serious red carpet action early doors as the Hollywood funnyman struck a series of poses for waiting photographers.

Meanwhile, a number of celebrity couples were also in attendance including one of the night's big winners, Claire Danes and her husband, British actor Hugh Dancy. Indeed, among the People's Choice 2015 winners were Chris Hemsworth, Johnny Depp and Sandra Bullock who all took to the stage to collect their highly coveted gongs with the latter delivering a speech giving a shout-out to all working mums, saying: 'Once again, you, the people, have allowed me to be in great company tonight with these women I share this category with. ... They all break molds, push that glass ceiling up, and they're all mamas. We're all working mamas who love what we do.'

After being named Favourite Dramatic Movie Actress for Fifty Shades Of Grey, Dakota nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction thanks to presenter Leslie Mann. But, referencing her career-making role, she joked to the audience, 'It's not like nobody here hasn't already seen my boobs!'

However, the night was not without incident: Sharon Osbourne's US talk show, The Talk, won the award for Favourite Daytime Team, but when an unidentified man came on stage during the ladies' acceptance speech, Sharon was NOT having any of it, kicking the man twice right off the stage.
