Leandra Medine's Mango collection is here and it is chic AF

If you ask me whose wardrobe I'd like to raid, Leandra Medine's is way up there. The Man Repeller editor dresses for herself and nobody else, and her style is bold but wearable, eccentric but chic. So when I first heard she was collaborating with high street favourite Mango on a 60s-inspired collection, I was so there for it.

Now it's finally launched and I can safely say I wasn't disappointed. She describes the pieces as 'a New Year break in a European ski resort combined with an American university campus in the 60s' and as such the capsule is full of jewel buttons, feathers, colourful embroideries, sequins in sheer blouses and bold prints.

My favourite pieces include this jewel-button trench coat, beaded tassel hem shorts and chunky cardigan. But the collection doesn't stop there, as Leandra has delved into accessories too, which include chunky gold chains and diamante earrings, velvet sandals and dad-style loafers.

Some of the collection has sold out already, however you can still get your hands on some of the gorgeous pieces, so if you want to emulate the fashion influencer's luxe New York style, now's the time. Or, like me, you can wait for the invite to raid Leandra's closet, I'm sure it's in the post...

Penny Goldstone

Penny Goldstone is the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire, covering everything from catwalk trends to royal fashion and the latest high street and Instagram must-haves.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
