And we love her for it

If Hollywood films are anything to go by, we should be having sex around the clock, with romantic comedies giving us unrealistic expectations and making us think that our libidos are well below average.

Luckily for us, P!nk has set the record straight - and we're thrilled.

The 38-year-old singer has never been afraid to speak her mind, and whether she’s calling out bullies or championing self-acceptance, we can always rely on her to lay it bare.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Pink opened up about her marriage to Carey Hart, dispelling unrealistic expectations and getting very real about her relationship and sex life.

‘There are moments where I look at [Carey] and I think he is the most thoughtful, logical, constant … he’s like a rock,’ Pink explained. ‘He’s a good man. He’s a good dad. He’s just the kind of dad I thought he’d be. And then I’ll look at him and go: "I’ve never liked you. There’s nothing I like about you. We have nothing in common. I don’t like any of the shit you like. I don’t ever wanna see you again." Then two weeks later I’m like, “Things are so good, you guys.”’

While fans have been applauding the A-lister for her honesty, P!nk went one step further, also opening up about her sex life, normalising our biggest insecurity about sex and reassuring us that even celebrity couples have dry spells.

‘Then you'll go through times when you haven't had sex in a year,’ she explained, going on to recount her thought process at the time. ‘“Is this the end of it? Do I want him? Does he want me?” Monogamy is work! But you do the work and it's good again.’

Once again, P!nk is opening an important conversation that we should all be having.
