Wishing Kate a speedy recovery!

Kate Beckinsale is one of the most talked-about women in the world, making news this year for everything from her upcoming role in ITV’s Widows to the rumours surrounding her love life, this year focusing on Jack Whitehall and Pete Davidson.

But it wasn’t her dating history or her acting career that got the world talking about the 45-year-old this week.

Instead, it was the actress’ health, as news broke that she had been rushed to hospital.

The British actress took to her Instagram to share the news of her hospitalisation with her 2.5 million followers and update them on her condition.

Explaining how she had suffered a ruptured ovarian cyst, Kate shared a sad hospital selfie of her hooked up to a tube.

’Turns out a ruptured ovarian cyst really hurts and morphine makes me cry.’ She posted. ‘So thankful to everyone who looked after me #wobbly’

Unsurprisingly, Kate’s announcement was met with a flood of well wishes, including some celebrity pals from Rose McGowan to Courtney Love.

‘Oh no…wishing you a speedy recovery,’ commented Natalie Imbruglia, while Sarah Silverman posted, ‘OMG’.

This comes less than a month after the actress posted an emotional statement to Instagram to welcome in the new year. '2018 you had a lot of good and a lot of rough.I am glad and relieved you are over,' she posted. 'And I am so thankful to our dear friends who laughed with us through the fun stuff and held us up for the hard stuff.'

We’re wishing Kate a speedy recovery and a better rest of 2019!
