Our beautiful January cover star Cameron Diaz is outspoken and we love her for it. From body image to her love of sex, Cameron’s got her head screwed on.

And we can certainly learn a thing or two from her attitude to life. Here, we take a look at some of her key rules.

Cameron on:

Sex

'Sex is the most amazing stress-reliever. I think it's the best thing for everything. It should be 100 percent part of everyone's life on a day-to-day basis. We'd all be a lot happier! I love to get my heart rate up and I love sweating. Sex is undoubtedly the best way to do that! It's healthy, it's natural, it's what we're here to do.'

Voting

'We have a voice now and we’re not using it. Women have so much to lose. I mean, we could lose the right to our bodies. If you think rape should be legal then don’t vote. But if you think you have a right to your body and you have a right to say what happens to you and fight off that danger of losing that, then you should vote.'

Friendship

'I exist for all my girlfriends. I am very, very fortunate. My friends are incredible and I am very lucky to have a lot of really solid, good friends– girlfriends and male friends– who I can just rely on.'

Making a Difference

'It`s important to be active in the causes that are important to you... That`s how we make changes in this world.'

Love

'I believe that when you`re in love you have to pour your heart and soul out to your partner, or why bother? So in that sense I`m an incurable romantic when it comes to men. '

Experience

'I don`t care how smart a kid you are. The only way you learn what`s not right is from experience. I think you get better as you age. You know what you want, and you become stronger mentally, emotionally, and physically.'

Body Image

'I can't say this enough, I'm totally comfortable with my body. I like my body, I don't think it's a bad thing, I think I have a nice body, I'm happy with it.'

 Flirting

'For me, flirting with a man means making fun of myself and trying to open myself and be very unpretentious. I'd kiss a frog even if there was no promise of a Prince Charming popping out of it. I love frogs.'

Timings

'I thought I was going to be married and have two children by the time I was 21. I think I felt I had to model my life after my mother's. But then my career was starting to take off and there were still so many things I wanted to do. So that dream for me was shattered early on. After that I never put another timeline on anything in my life. I think we have to make our own rules. I don't think we should live our lives in relationships based off of old traditions that don't suit our world any longer.'

Women

'Women are capable of doing so many things these days, physically, emotionally, within relationships and career. There are so many things that women have evolved into and I feel really proud about where women are right now. '
