Heidi Klum just made a powerful statement on breastfeeding

And it’s important.

And it’s important.

This weekend saw US Mother’s Day, with A-listers and even royals taking to their social media accounts to not only pay tribute to their own mothers, but also to reflect on being mothers themselves.

Meghan Markle celebrated her first Mother’s Day this year, having given birth to baby Archie just last week, taking to Instagram to share a photo of her holding her baby son’s feet alongside the words, ‘My mother was my first country; the first place i ever lived.’

It has Heidi Klum’s Instagram post that made the most noise however, with the supermodel posting throwback pictures and home videos of pregnancy and motherhood.

One was a home video of a heavily pregnant Heidi before childbirth, and the other was the 45-year-old breastfeeding for the first time.

‘.... and this is how it all began for me as a Mother,’ she captioned the video. ‘…day 1 with little Leni ❤️... 🤗 I feel soooo blessed with 4 amazing children Leni,Henry,Johan and Lou . THANK YOU 🙏🏻❤️ #mothersday.’

Heidi has always been one to do what she likes, shedding the stigma around breastfeeding in public, and capturing the sweet moment of her joy.

‘Motherhood is so beautiful,’ commented one fan, while another posted: ’I love that you shared this. This is important. Women are fierce AF!!’

Forever bowing down to you, Heidi Klum.
