Brooklyn Beckham is becoming increasingly like his father, David Beckham, experimenting with his hair, donning the occasional Baker Boy flat cap and delighting his millions of online followers with arty black and white Instagram snaps.
This weekend the 18-year-old went one step further, getting his first ever tattoo, a replica of one of his dad’s.
Brooklyn and David went to LA’s Shamrock Social Club tattoo parlour over the weekend, with proud dad David looking on as Brooklyn got ‘inked’ by David’s friend and favourite tattoo artist, Mark Mahoney.
Taking to Instagram, Brooklyn uploaded a picture of the tattoo in process, captioning the snap: ‘Thank you so much Mark x just like dads’.
He then uploaded another couple of snaps of the tattoo on his forearm, a Native American illustration, similar to one that David has on his torso, posting ‘Honoured to have my first tattoo done by my dads friend Mark Mahoney’.
Showing off the final look, he uploaded this snap of his forearm, with the caption ‘And we are done x’.

The tattoo has divided the internet with some hailing it a triumph while others have been calling it out as cultural appropriation, deeming it incredibly offensive.
David certainly seems to be a fan of it, proudly uploading pictures of his son getting inked on his Instagram story on Sunday. It’s hardly surprising though, with David sporting at least 40 tattoos himself, his most recent being a tribute to his daughter, Harper, featuring a stick drawing that she drew herself.
As if we couldn’t love David and Brooklyn’s father-son relationship more, they now have matching tattoos - a touching tribute before Brooklyn goes to university.
