Congratulations again to the Duke and Duchess!

Congratulations again to the Duke and Duchess!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially ‘joined the parenting club’ this weekend, taking to their new Instagram page, SussexRoyal, to break the news that Baby Sussex has arrived.

‘We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz,’ read a statement from the couple via their Sussex Royal Instagram page.

‘The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days.’

But it wasn’t the arrival that the public found the most touching, but instead the sweet nod to Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

The statement continued: ‘The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news.’

Yes, alongside the Queen and Prince Charles, Princess Diana’s three siblings were some of the first to be informed of the news, a nod to Harry’s mother.

Well, that’s just lovely.

Congratulations again to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex!
