World's most expensive dessert is on the menu for £12,500 in New York
THE WORLD’S MOST expensive dessert has been served in New York, for a massive £12,500. The Frrrozen Haute Chocolate is offered on the menu at NY’s Serendipity 3 restaurant, which worked for two weeks to create the record-breaking dish.
The decadent pudding features edible 23-carat gold, and is served with a selection of Knipschildt chocolate truffles, which alone retail for £1,300 per lb.
It is then served in a gold lined goblet, and is eaten on a gold diamond encrusted spoon that the diner can then keep. To top the dish off, an 18-carat gold diamond bracelet encircles the base of the goblet.
