Dior designer John Galliano to launch own-label clothes for kids
JOHN GALLIANO IS set to launch his first childrenswear collection. The Christian Dior designer has teamed up with Diesel to market the line, which goes on sale next year.
‘Galliano likes to play and create fairytale worlds even for adults. Imagine what he can do for kids,’ Diesel’s head honcho Renzo Rosso told Women’s Wear Daily.
The line, for both girls and boys ages between 4 and 14, will be unveiled to buyers in January, with aims to get it in stores across Italy, France, America, Japan and the UK.
2008 looks set to be a busy year for Galliano who, in addition to his kids’ clothing line, will be creating his first own-label fragrance and a line of luxury watches.
He told reporters he is ‘very excited at this opportunity to expand our product base and to collaborate with a world leader like Diesel’.
