I've just found the suit that denim dreams are made of (and so have all the influencers)

I'm calling it: I've found the suit to end all suits, such is its level of coolness. Oh, and it's made entirely of denim. Now put all those ideas of Britney and Justin circa 2001 out of your head, because it's not that kind of suit.

Think less noughties, more seventies with a modern twist. Brought to you by ME+EM, the pant suit starts with an indigo denim jacket with a tailored edge, complete with a removable belt, should you wish to go for a relaxed fit, rather than fitted.

Shop now: MIX & MATCH DENIM SUIT for £378 from ME+EM

Finishing off the ensemble, we have wide leg, low rise jeans with gold buttons and patch pockets, which look smart with the jacket, or just as cool with a statement t-shirt.

Like with most hot ticket items, fashion influencers have already got their stylish hands on it, with the likes of Bianca Miro putting a 90s spin on hers by teaming it with platform trainers and a beaded bag.

Meanwhile, Kim of Love Cloth Blog teamed the jacket with khaki trousers and a suede Simon Miller bag for a chic yet casual city ensemble.

Influencer Sophia Rosemary gave us a sartorial lesson in how to dress for the countryside, by teaming hers with red sandals and a cute tee.

Now I know this isn't the cheapest of suits, but really, can you put a price on timelessness? I think not.

Penny Goldstone is the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire, covering everything from catwalk trends to royal fashion and the latest high street and Instagram must-haves.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
