The polo neck rules have changed.

Victoria Beckham’s style is always total outfit goals, but now that we’ve been hit by another cold snap, her latest fashion obsession is looking even more appealing than ever.

If you’ve not been paying attention—that Spice Girls reunion was super distracting, so we forgive you if you took your eye off the fashion ball for a moment—VB is currently all over the polo neck.

But before you shake your head and decide this isn’t the shopping mission for you, hear us out; because the fashion designer has totally changed all the rules when it comes to styling a polo neck in 2018.

Where once we all wore polo necks while harbouring fears of resembling Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in that now Instagram-famous throwback snap, VB is all about the layering. And it works.

On the front row at Louis Vuitton’s recent menswear show in Paris, Victoria layered to the max with a burgundy polo neck worn under a red striped shirt, topped with an oversized camel coat.

Just the day before, she’d worn another polo neck in a similar maroon shade, this time layered underneath a printed maxi dress. Finished with long leather boots, the whole combo looks super warm and cosy, while obviously still VB-level chic.

Cut to that epic Spice Girls reunion post, and yep, there we have another sleek polo neck, this time in classic black jersey.
