Here’s everything you need to know…

Ivanka Trump is almost as much of a controversial figure as her father, President Donald Trump.

Sure, she doesn’t create the laws but she stands behind her father as he does, with her support for her dad actually getting her a White House position - complete with classified information clearance and a government-issued phone.

Yes, since her appointment, the 37-year-old has only taken on more responsibility, attending state events in place of her father and even considered for the role of UN Ambassador last year.

This week however the First Daughter and Assistant to the President made news for a different reason, as it emerged that she was facing an investigation.

The investigation in question sees Ivanka as well as 7 of Donald Trump’s other aides, including husband Jared Kushner, being accused of using their personal email addresses to communicate with Cabinet members.

In fact, according to The Washington Post, Ivanka has sent hundreds of work emails from her personal account

A spokesman for Ivanka's attorney Abbe Lowell continued:

‘While transitioning into government, after she was given an official account but until the White House provided her the same guidance they had given others who started before she did, Ms Trump sometimes used her personal account, almost always for logistics and scheduling concerning her family.’
