Have you discovered the latest Facebook hack that everyone is talking about?

Have you discovered the latest Facebook hack that everyone is talking about? The social media platform has not one but two hidden inboxes and once you’ve cracked into them, you might find dozens of unread messages you’ve never seen before.

The thing is, that while your profile settings may be 100% private, there’s no way to stop people sending you a message if they want to – and that’s where FB’s filtering comes in.

So where do you find these mystery messages that its decided to filer off?

All messages from people within your immediate social circle will land in you main inbox. But any from friends of friends, or that it thinks might be spam, will go into its ‘filtered’ hidden inbox. To find this second box, start at your Facebook home page so that you can see your normal newsfeed.

Next click Messages on the top right of the page next to your profile picture.

This opens the usual Facebook inbox, but look towards the top left corner of the page and you’ll see some more options including Message Requests and More. Click on more and a drop-down menu will appear that gives you the option ‘Filtered’. In there is your treasure.
