What do you do if you're not sure what to wear to the biggest wedding of the year? You make your own dress of course.

Which is why Victoria Beckham designed a chic navy midi dress to see Meghan Markle marry Prince Harry at Windsor in May.

The dress featured an elegant slash at the front and long sleeves, and she paired it with a navy pillbox hat with veil, as well as burnt orange court shoes.

One of the perks of being a fashion designer is that you can road-test your own designs before making them mainstream, and VB clearly loved this dress as she's today launched both on her website and her Dover Street boutique.

You too, for £1,495, can recreate the look, though I'm sad to say David Beckham will not be included in the purchase.

A word of warning though: the dress is selling like hotcakes, and a couple sizes are already out of stock online, so you'll have to be quick off the mark on this one.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
