An ode to Sienna Miller’s winter style - and how we can all get the look.
Sienna Miller is owning off-duty style right now. We want it, you want it. So let’s analyse it, shall we?
Look One: The January Blues Buster
Perhaps the most envy-inducing of all the looks to come is this rainbow Celine midi-dress, teamed with Pierre Hardy sandals in New York yesterday. As in, in January. With bare legs and open toes, this outfit calls for commitment we just cannot physically muster when cowering in our pyjamas before leaving for work in the dark. However, teamed with grey tights and a pair of chunky ankle boots instead, said knitted dress becomes a winter weather winner.
Look Two: The Polar Vortex Defender
This one’s all in the accessories. Look at what Sienna’s actually wearing here – skinny jeans and a heavy-duty navy parka. We’ve already got those, right? Now add your colour pops; the terracotta bucket bag and mustard ankle boots are more exciting variations of our neutral staples, and who could possibly argue with the joy that a distorted floral beanie brings to the look?
Look Three: The Secret ‘Comfort Day’ Combo
You definitely already have all the pieces for this one, too. Your granny cardie just got a sexy makeover, replacing the boring black V neck as the comfort jumper of choice. Buttoned up with a cute camisole underneath, Sienna pairs hers with pinstripe pyjama pants and those staple block heels again. Without the sleek accessories, we could actually hide under the duvet in this. Ideal.
Look Four: The Exhaustion Concealer
Ahhh the airport. Groggy at the best of times, but in January it’s draughtier, soggier and more miserable style-wise than ever before. Cue Sienna in an oversized herringbone blazer, elevating her basic look (great skinny jeans, Breton stripe top and leopard print flats) with a single smart jacket. Easy.
Look Five: The Frozen Flesh Flash
Sienna teams her Miu Miu crop shirt with a high waist pencil skirt, showing just a hint of her bod in the icy weather. Other lessons to learn from the ensemble; a pastel coloured coat makes everything look instantly more exciting, and matching your Louboutins to your top totally works. Keep this combo in mind for a lunch date.
And Look Six…
Who would we be to honour Sienna’s style without acknowledging the efforts of her husband Tom Sturridge? Shout out to the man for his haute houndstooth coat and pink laces combo.
