And it's a thing of beauty

Primark's spring/summer collections never disappoint, which you'll know if you managed (or not), to get your hands on that sold-out gingham dress.

And having gotten a sneak peek of their SS18 collection, I can tell you next season is even better than the last, plus I'm pretty sure I've found the next must-have dress.

Enter this simple 70s-inspired summer dress. It has a ruched bodice, delicate red and white striped straps and is looks so light it might as well be made of air.

Not convinced? Here is is from the back. Even better right? Especially when worn with a straw boater hat.

It's just the holiday dress you need, paired with simple slides, or you could dress it up with some leather wedges for a weekend in the city too.

I expect this one will sell out soon too, so keep your eyes peeled. It should be launching around April time, but I'll let you know once I know the exact launch date.

Not a dress person? No biggie, the rest of the collection is just as nice.

You've got your checks carrying on into next season in the form of a chic trench coat, and denim is obvs a key player, paired with even more denim.

Plus those white boots are going nowhere, which might convince you to buy into the boot trend now.

Striped shirts are always a safe option for work, and the below yellow dress is all you need for that bohemian beach holiday.

Bear in mind this is just a preview of the line, there is plenty more where that came from, from red trench coats to paperboy trousers and frayed denim. It's going to be good.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
