So thoughtful

We love how thoughtful the Duchess of Cambridge is with her outfit choices on her state visits. She wore a maple leaf hat to match the flag on her tour of Canada in 2011, and on a recent trip to Paris, she donned Chanel for the first time.

Now she has decided to pay homage to Poland, by wearing a dress by a Polish designer while on a trip to Warsaw.

The Duchess of Cambridge opted for an ivory satin cocktail dress with black embroidery by Gosia Baczynska to attend a Garden party in the capital.

She teamed it with a drop pearl necklace and earrings, and her favourite Gianvito Rossi sandals.

Kate looked so chic that Gosia dubbed Kate the ’tsarina of the Polish fashion scene’. And if you want to emulate the Duchess' impeccable look, you can buy the dress using the link above.

She also swept her new bob up into an elegant chignon, and kept her makeup fairly natural.

This was her second outfit of the day, as she landed earlier with Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, wearing a white suit dress by her favourite designer, Alexander McQueen.

Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte looked adorable in a little floral dress.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
