Kate Middleton is still in labour, meaning Kensington Palace officials have been forced to change the way in which they'll announce the royal baby's arrival

The royal baby's birth will be announced via a press release on email in a Sudden to change to plans this evening.

Kate Middleton is still in labour and as the day draws to a close, royal aides at Kensington Palace have been force to put in place a new plan of action for the all-important announcement.

Initially, the first we'd hear of the royal baby's arrival was going to be when a car - with a police convoy - would drive a medical notice to Buckingham Palace to be posted onto the famous royal easel. But in a sudden change to plans, Kensington Palace have announced that the birth will be announced via a press release on email, hinting that news of the birth is due imminently, and that the tradition of the easel may in fact wait until tomorrow morning.

This is to stop news of the royal baby leaking to the press overnight and so that the Palace can run with the theatrical easel announcement in daylight tomorrow morning.

It looks like we'll hear very soon! Exciting!
