Donald Trump once tried to date Emma Thompson
Erm - sorry, what?
Erm - sorry, what?

For every story about Donald Trump and his questionable decisions in the White House (including the recent revelation that he has given his daughter an office in the White House, complete with access to state secrets), there's another story about his loathesome treatment of women.
He caused outraged when he refused to shake hands with Angela Merkel recently, there was uproar when he told women how to dress, #savemelania began trending online when people noticed how uncomfortable his wife appeared in public, and we don't need to remind anyone of that pussy comment.
But his love life has also come under scrutiny, with stories of an attempt to date Princess Diana surfacing and his ex-wife writing a book about him.
And Diana is not the only one who had to dodge an advance from the human wotsit. National treasure, Emma Thompson, has confessed that he also tried his luck with her.
During an interview with Swedish news outlet SVT, she said: 'He asked me out once. You wanna hear?'

Erm - definitely yes.
Emma explained that during filming for Primary Colors in the mid-nineties, her phone rang unexpectedly.
'I life up the phone. 'Hi, it's Donald Trump here.' I said, 'Really? Can I help you?' and he said, 'Yeah, I, just, you know, I wondered if I could offer you some accommodation in one of my Trump Towers. They're really comfortable,'' she explains.
'I said, 'Why are you offering me somewhere to stay - in my trailer? I don't - what?''
She recalls how it suddenly dawned on her what was happening, his response being: 'Well, you know, I think we would get on very well, I think we could have dinner sometime.'
And her reaction?
'I just said, 'Okay, well I'll get back to you. Thank you so much for the offer,'' before imitating a dial tone.
Could we love her any more?
