Kim Kardashian prefers nontouring over contouring

When the Queen of contouring says it’s over, it’s over

She might have the most chiselled cheekbones in the bizz, but Kim Kardashian is putting down the contouring products and stepping away from the make-up powder.

In a recent interview with celebrity make-up artist, Charlotte Tilbury, the KUWTK star revealed that she’s embracing ‘real skin’ by using less make-up and focussing on highlighting her skin (also known as strobing) without any bronzer.

'I think right now it's more about nontouring, like real skin with less make-up on it. I'm trying to wear less... and my husband loves me without make-up,' she said.

A far cry from the Kim Kardashian we have grown to know.

Back in 2012, she revealed her tricks of the trade through a series of tweets and ever since, contouring has been something of a celebrity itself - a quick search on Instagram reveals over 2 million hashtags for contouring, while YouTube boasts over 600,000 video tutorials.

But, it seems just as we’re starting to get the hang of it, she’s moving on.

‘Now when I travel I just bring a small make-up case, and I'm content with that. I'm really into strobing now, so just highlighting the skin without using bronzer,’ she declared.

Does this mean the end for Kim Kontouring as we know it? Apparently not. The mum of two still admits to contouring parts of her face, most notably her nose.

‘I love contouring and I don't think I'd stop contouring my nose - I know people think I've had a nose job but it really is just make-up!’ she said.

She also confessed to cringing while watching early episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians due to the 'crazy hair and bad make-up.'

So exactly what is her lesson to take away? Still contour, just not as much as she once did.

We hear you, Kim…
