Meet Your Favourite Designer Perfumers At Harrods' Exclusive Event

The name Harrods is synonymous with luxury so it seems perfectly fitting that store is throwing a series of events to celebrate the opulent world of fragrance.

Until 19 September, the world-famous department store will host a unprecedented and exclusive event, where a selection of the world’s most famous perfumers will be in-store offering talks, masterclasses and one-to-one consultations. Sound fabulous? It is.

The development of a fragrance from inception to beauty counter will be regaled to shoppers and they'll also get the chance to meet and hear the stories of the incredible people behind brands such as Chanel, Jo Malone, Roja Dove, Chloe and Clive Christian.

To promote the event, Harrods has created the most beautiful video, which will no doubt take your breath away. The short film was part of an intricate and unique process which involved freezing and then blowing up flowers – so summer's headiest, sultriest and most glamorous fragrances are quite literally bursting out of their bottles. It. Is. Incredible.

Harrods editor-in-chief Deborah Bee, says: 'Working with glass and fresh flowers was no easy feat. First, the flowers were frozen in liquid nitrogen and then a live charge was carefully inserted into the stems before we triggered the explosion. The flacons required a more aggressive approach and were shot with an air gun in the studio to create the dramatic, shattering effect.'
