Kate Moss' festival style is renowned - she's been rocking out at Glastonbury since the early 90s in denim shorts, Hunter wellies and metallic minidresses alike. Let's chart her best festival style moments...
Glastonbury 2016 is upon us! And who better, we thought, to take some last minute style inspiration from than Kate Moss, the ultimate festival fashionista?
Kates been a staple at the Somerset festival since the early 90s (with Johnny Depp on her arm, no less) but like any true rock chick, she also hits everything from the Isle Of Wight fest to intimate Camden gigs every year without fail.
We think the best thing about Kate’s festival style is her knack of making outfits that sooo shouldn’t be caught in the mud look effortless and cool.
In 2005 (pictured left) she taught us that Hunter wellies go with everything from minidresses to tailoring. The following year, we learnt that sequins and metallics look uh-mazing in the silvery rain. She made denim cut-offs a festival icon in their own right and championed dishevelled beauty like no other. Mossy’s ability to make us see perfect fashion sense, is frankly limitless.
My festival look is always natural, never too much make up, Kate told us exclusively. For my hair I use a bit of salt spray to create that kind of tousled look, to bring the beach to the festival.’
‘I also carry a lip stain and eyeliner, you can always put a bit of the lip stain on the cheek and you are ready.’
In recent years Kate’s worked embellished capes, cool fedoras and sequins galore into her Glastonbury wardrobe (as we’ve rushed to get the look for ourselves, too).
The only question that remains is, what will she pull out of her (chic, probably silk) camping knapsack this year?
