The Oscars 2018 wasn't all paparazzi pictures and non-stop glamour, you know? Before and after they hit the red carpet, our favourite A-listers shared some candid shots of themselves looking, well, almost normal, actually, as they got ready at home, goofed around backstage and let off some steam with their equally starry pals at the after-parties.
From Armie Hammer showing just how effortless his Oscars prep was (hint, it was not), to Heidi Klum revealing what she looked like sans make-up (and sans-clothes) as she prepped for the bash, these A-list Instagram shots from behind the scenes at the Oscars are a telling indicator of just how much work goes into getting ready for the year's biggest party - and what the stars get up to when they aren't posing more formally for the paps.
There's also a fair bit of backstage schmoozing going on - Miley Cyrus posted a pic to her Instagram of her, Liam Hemsworth and Elton John (who hosted the after-party) all cosied up... who knew they were friends? The reunion of Viola Davis, Alison Janney and Octavia Spencer from The Help gave us #FriendshipGoals, and we could not get over the way that Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves looked at each other in their limo and later on the red carpet (insert heart-eyes emoji)
