New York Post reports 10 people have been wounded and 2 killed outside the iconic landmark
It’s being reported that at least two people have been killed and at least eight injured after a gunman opened fire outside the Empire State Building this morning.
The reports vary as to how many people have been shot, but it is thought New York police swooped in and shot the gunman dead shortly after 9am.
One of the dead was a woman who was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire, according to eyewitnesses.
It is believed the gunfire started after a dispute among co-workers, and police have confirmed the incident was not terror-related.
Witness Aliyah Imam told TV station Fox 5 News that the gunman was ‘shooting indiscriminately at people’.
