First Look! Gwyneth Paltrow's fashion collection
Rex Features
We first told you back in March that Gwyneth Paltrow was set to flex her fashion muscles by designing her own line for French label ZOEtee's, and now we finally get to see the fruits of her labour!
The seven-silhouette ZOEtee’s LOVES Gwyneth Paltrow collection goes on sale next week, exclusively at www.matchesfashion.com, and spans both evening and day wear, with luxe basics, and elegant draped dresses.
And while many a celeb may be satisfied just to put their name to a label, Ms Paltrow took her design duties seriously, choosing everything from fabrics to packaging, and attending fittings personally.
Michele Corty, Designer of ZOEtee’s, commented, 'Creating a collection for Gwyneth was an opportunity to combine quality fabrics with innovative cuts inspired by the personal style of a fashion icon… every designer’s dream.'
Inspired by the mum-of-two's busy lifestyle, pieces are designed to be both elegant, and easy to wear. Cue day-to-evening chic jersey dresses, on-trend studded vests, slouchy jumpsuits and failsafe blazers.
All proceeds from sales of the collection go to the charity Kids Company, with prices starting from £100.

not too chic... in fact they look a bit dull and unimaginative. anyone of us could have come up with this sort of thing. don't quit your day job gwennie!

I find this uninspiring and it is easy to get the equivalent elsewhere for less money!

what? this is terrible. might as well have gone to joann fabrics and taken a draping 101 class to make this stuff. AND ROMPERS!? That's a trend that should have died in the 70s. No. No. No. No.

i had read these were dull and too basic, but seeing them, they're worse than i had expected. they're not just boring, but actually ugly and badly designed. they look very amateurish - like someone who doesn't get what works in design, but is trying very hard to be creative. they're tacky. paltrow should stick to acting and give up trying to be a lifestyle guru and designer. it makes her look foolish.
