After much teasing, the wait is finally over: Brad Pitt's eagerly-anticipated ad for Chanel No. 5 is here!
The print advert, which was shot by acclaimed American photographer Steven Klein, is an arty black and white image with the heart-throb actor looking on wistfully wearing a striped shirt and layered chain necklaces, with the tagline 'inevitable' and a picture of the iconic fragrance in colour to the right.
The French fashion house also released an accompanying TV commercial onto the web today. Directed by Atonement and Anna Karenina film director Joe Wright, the clip shows Brad stood in a room talking to the camera – again shot in black and white.

In his deep, husky tones, he says: 'It's not a journey. Every journey ends but we go on. The world turns and we trun with it. Plans disappear, dreams take over, but wherever I go there you are, my luck, my fate, my fortune. Chanel No. 5, inevitable.'
News of Brad's Chanel No. 5 campaign broke in May when the actor was spotted attending the shoot in London. The groundbreaking commerical marks the first time that a man has ever fronted ads for the classic scent. He follows in the well-heeled footsteps of the likes of Catherine Deneuve, Nicole Kidman and, most recently, Audrey Tautou as the face of the perfume.
