The Queen Gives Essie The Royal Seal Of Approval

HRH has worn the same shade of Essie nail polish for the past four decades

The Queen is as loyal to her beauty products as she is to her country, it has been revealed.

For the past four decades, only one nail polish has been used to paint the Royal mitts, and that is Essie’s iconic Ballet Slippers.
Her Maj is obviously a huge fan of the sophisticated, pale pink lacquer with a sheer finish, and who can blame her? The award-winning polish is favoured by manicurists everywhere, and is the perfect colour for keeping nails looking smart, without making a flashy statement.
According to the Essie website, the Queen’s hairdresser wrote to Essie Weingarten in 1989 to request a bottle of the classic shade. And she has allegedly worn it ever since.
Although we rarely get a glimpse of Queen Elizabeth II’s bare hands as they are mostly covered in gloves, one can rest assured that Her Royal Highness’ nails are in tip top condition thanks to Essie.
