High street favourite, H&M, have chosen two very unlikely performers to front their new Christmas campaign

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett are already one of the music industry's oddest pairings. Having recently recorded an album together called Cheek to Cheek, the musical duo are now the kooky face of H&M's 2014 Christmas campaign.

The 88-year-old legend and the 28-year-old pop star will feature in the TV commercial, singing one of the tracks from their debut album, which is due to be revealed at the end of November. The ads, pictured above in a behind-the-scenes shot by photographer Soraya Zaman, will also appear in print and online, on billboards and across H&M stores.

Although H&M are yet to release the finished images, it looks to be typical Lady Gaga style, with the singer sporting a larger-than-life black wig, oversized jumper - and not much else. Dramatic make-up and fishnet stocking finish Gaga's Cher look-a-like style. Tony, a 17-times Grammy Award winner, looks slightly more dapper in a smart dinner suit.

Lady Gaga is currently on her artRAVE: ARTPOP Ball Tour, but found time last November to open H&M’s Times Square flagship store in New York. The star's appearance saw fans queue up for the chance to meet their idol and browse the new H&M store with one of the world's biggest performers.

The starlet has spent the past two years recording this new record with Tony, which celebrates jazz music and brings together Lady Gaga's modern day pop with the crooner's timeless style. The album, titled Cheek to Cheek, will be released on 23rd September on Interscope Records. Although this is the pair's first album, Gaga and Tony collaborated previously on his 2011 album, Duets II. The album went platinum and set the path for this unusual partnership.
