Swapping heels for trainers, Team Marie Claire took to Clapham Common last night to join in with Tesco and Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life – the UK’s biggest women-only charity fundraising event.
Hundreds of women walked, jogged and ran the 5k and 10k routes to raise both awareness and funds for Cancer Research UK.
Setting off, Team MC were touched by the poignant personalised messages strapped to some participant’s backs and every emotional message fuelled on their mission to cross the finish line.
Cheered on by the huge crowds each member of the Team MC achieved a personal best and was greeted at the finish line with medals, a goodie bag and a much needed bottle of water.
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research.
Currently they fund research into many aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses across the UK.
