    Valentino AW14’s overwhelming intricacy had us totally spellbound during its Paris Fashion Week show.

    Layers upon layers of chiffon fabrics embroidered with stunning heritage florals, birds, roses and butterflies reminded us of a magical secret garden – one which we had been invited in to admire.

    Though the traditional themes – archaic European references like the flowing peasant skirts, voluminous sleeves and delicate lace – were apparent, contemporary prints were also weaved into the fall creations to bring the collection into the modern day.

    Bold red hearts, oversized checks, huge dotty patterns and vibrant stripes contrasted with the classic influences beside them.
