Jennifer Lawrence has responded to THAT dress criticism...
Jennifer Lawrence found herself at the centre of controversy this week, after taking part in a photoshoot on a London rooftop for her new film, spy thriller Red Sparrow.
Posing alongside her four male co-stars, the 27-year-old actress wore a plunging black Versace dress - something the internet seemed to have a lot of opinions about.
’This is such a quietly depressing (and revealing) image,’ tweeted Twitter user Helen Lewis. ‘Not least because I’ve been outside today and it’s bloody freezing.’
Most comments followed a similar theme, focusing on the comparison between J-Law’s revealing outfit and her male co-stars’ wrapped-up looks - that according to the Internet were much more weather-appropriate.
Clearly taken aback by the barrage of comments, Jennifer took to her Facebook page to address her critics directly, reminding them that she is allowed to wear whatever the hell she wants to.
‘Wow. I don't really know where to get started on this "Jennifer Lawrence wearing a revealing dress in the cold" controversy,’ she posted to her 16.5 million followers. ’This is not only utterly ridiculous, I am extremely offended.’

She continued: ‘That Versace dress was fabulous, you think I'm going to cover that gorgeous dress up with a coat and a scarf? I was outside for 5 minutes. I would have stood in the snow for that dress because I love fashion and that was my choice.’
‘This is sexist, this is ridiculous, this is not feminism. Over-reacting about everything someone says or does, creating controversy over silly innocuous things such as what I choose to wear or not wear, is not moving us forward. It's creating silly distractions from real issues. Get a grip people. Everything you see me wear is my choice. And if I want to be cold THATS MY CHOICE TOO!’
Yet another reason to love Jennifer Lawrence.
