More tunes The man is a hit-making machine. Following the release of his second album Version, Mark stormed the charts with his covers of ‘Oh My God’ and ‘Valerie’. He’s also the man behind ‘Bang Bang Bang’ and the Olympic anthem ‘Anywhere in the World’, but it looks like all that was just him warming up. He’s launched himself back onto the scene with his first ever UK number one – it’s been long overdue and now everyone is talking about ‘Uptown Funk’. The wonderfully infectious single became the first track in UK history to break two million weekly streams, only to break its own record a week later, and has already been tipped as the song of 2015. Now all that’s left to do is wait in eager anticipation for his next offering.

The collaborations If you had a flick through Mr. Ronson’s back catalogue you’d have a hard time keeping track of all the famous faces than feature in it - Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Katy B, Daniel Merriweather, Q-Tip and Boy George, just to name a few. His teaming up with the lovely Bruno Mars has gone down a treat and we still have collaborations with Stevie Wonder and Kevin Parker of Tame Impala to look forward to on the new album.

His impeccable dress sense You can always rely on him to liven up any red carpet. He’s cited Blue Note and Motown musicians as the inspiration behind his perfectly put together ensembles. This retro influence means that he’s not one to shy away from bold colours and prints but he never puts a foot out of place. Seriously, what other guy could pull off hot pink from head to toe? We’re going to be seeing a lot of him and his meticulous outfits this year and we can’t wait.

His celebrity liaisons Mark’s father was a music manager and his mother was a socialite so he grew up surrounded by celebrities. He’s previously mentioned, for example, that Robin Williams once tucked him into bed when he was little and he was rescued from a wave on Long Island beach by Paul McCartney. Then there are the few stories that even us mere mortals can relate to in some way; like when he got so nervous DJing at Tom Cruise and Katy Holmes’s wedding that he got drunk and threw up as soon as he got off stage. Hopefully his return to the spotlight means we’ll be graced with plenty more A-list infused anecdotes.

He’s a pretty awesome guy
