So this is why Caroline Flack has been absent from the Love Island villa

We hope she’s ok…

We hope she’s ok…

Love Island 2018 is reaching boiling point, with the past week seeing a whopping six islanders leave the villa.

But as new arrivals, Frankie and Grace, were voted the least popular and asked to pack their bags last night, viewers were quick to question why the show’s host, Caroline Flack, was absent from the episode.

Today it looks like we were given our answer, as the 38-year-old announced that she had split from her fiancé Adam Brady in an emotional statement, just three months after the pair got engaged.

‘I’m sad to announce that Andrew and I have decided to part ways,’ she told The Sun in a statement. ‘Unfortunately it was not meant to be. I wish him all the best.’

She continued: ‘At least there’s a Villa waiting for me. It’s back to the ol’ grafting.’

While Caroline spoke out about the break up, Andrew Brady was the one to break the news - something that Caroline was said to be upset by, having wanted to deal with the split in private - especially as this is the middle of Love Island - her busiest and most exposed time.

‘Sad to announce Caroline and I have decided to part ways,’ Andrew posted to his Instagram, breaking the news. ‘Unfortunately it was not meant to be and I wish her all the best in the future.’

Neither Caroline nor Andrew have confirmed the reasons behind their break up as of yet.

We’re sending love to Caroline and hoping to see her back on Love Island very soon!
