Autumn sees an Aladdin’s Cave of rich and regal nail colour make its way to the fashion forefront. Opt for metallic nail shades in ruby red, emerald green and striking amethyst to feel like a million dollars this season. Helena Biggs, deputy editor at Scratch magazine, talks you through this gorgeous trend.
The Shows: D&G’s autumn/winter 2013 collection saw models hit the catwalks of Milan in gem-encrusted dresses and golden crowns, while DSquared2 opted for rich, ruby red nails as a contrast amongst dark, textured fabrics – with plenty of jewels to accessorize.
