Sharron Lowe is a business strategist, success coach and motivational speaker. We caught up with her to talk inspiration and her own experience of mentoring ahead of our 2011 Marie Claire Inspire & Mentor campaign.
What fired your ambition to start your own business? My parents had the courage to launch their own business when I was still a young child so they’ve always motivated me.
MEET THE REST OF THE 2011 MENTORS HERE
What’s been a career high? I coach different companies and when they experience phenomenal shifts in performance and results, it’s an amazing feeling.
What’s the best careers advice you’ve been given? I had a hopeless careers advisor at school who told me to 'choose a serious job' when I said I wanted to be in business side of the cosmetic industry. Her lack of vision inspired me to prove her wrong!
What makes a good mentor? Desire, empathy and trust. Seeing the potential in the other person before they even see it in themselves is crucial.
